Account control
Delete your ScoreStory account
You can permanently delete your ScoreStory account directly inside the mobile app. You do not need to contact support first.
Delete your account in the app
- Open ScoreStory and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Tap Profile in the bottom navigation.
- Tap Account.
- Scroll to Danger Zone.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Read the confirmation message and tap Delete.
The app deletes the account on the server before signing the device out. If private media cleanup cannot finish immediately, ScoreStory records a cleanup job and retries it.
If you cannot access the app
Email support@wherk.com from the address associated with your ScoreStory account. Use the subject “ScoreStory account deletion request.” We may ask you to verify account ownership before processing the request. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
Data deleted or de-identified
- Your authentication account and sign-in email.
- Your public profile, display name, avatar, and sport preferences.
- Your push-notification token and account-scoped preferences.
- Match photos you uploaded and comments you authored.
- Your active result-share links and guest-claim links.
- Private free-text notes associated with your identity.
- Local offline match drafts stored for your account on that device.
Data retained after deletion
ScoreStory keeps the minimum information needed to preserve other participants’ legitimate shared match history and to meet security or legal obligations:
- Shared match facts such as sport, date, venue, score, result, and revision history may remain for other authorized participants.
- Your participant identity is detached from your account and displayed as “Deleted player.”
- Limited referral or previously redeemed invitation records may remain where needed to prevent duplicate redemption or referral abuse, with identifying email data replaced by a non-deliverable anonymous value.
- Redacted safety records may be retained when needed to protect users, investigate abuse, or comply with law.
- Limited backup and security-log copies may remain until the applicable provider’s normal backup rotation ends or longer when law requires it.
Deleting the app is not account deletion
Removing ScoreStory from your phone does not delete your account or server data. Follow the in-app steps above or submit a verified request by email.
